Privacy policy

- No account and no sign-in. Pottly does not ask for an email to start.
- Your child's log stays on your phone. There is no Pottly server that stores it.
- The app has no advertising or analytics SDK, and no tracking.
- Payments go through Apple or Google. Subscription status is read with RevenueCat.
What the app stores, and where
Everything the app records is kept in the app’s own storage on your phone. The table lists each kind of data, where it lives, and whether it leaves the phone. [проверить: confirm the table against the final build before publishing]
Children
Pottly is a tool for parents, used around a young child. A parent creates the child profile. The child’s name is optional. The app does not ask a child for any personal information, and it has no child accounts. Purchases and Settings sit behind a parental gate, a simple arithmetic question. It is meant to keep young children out of those screens. It is not a password, and an older child or an adult can solve it.
Nothing about a child is sent to a Pottly server, and no advertising is shown in the app. [проверить: legal review of children’s privacy rules for the markets you launch in, including COPPA in the US and the age-appropriate design codes in the UK and EU]
Purchases
Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) takes the payment and manages the subscription. Pottly uses RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active on this phone. The app does not log you in to RevenueCat, so RevenueCat works with an anonymous app user ID and your purchase status. [проверить: RevenueCat’s data processing terms and what its SDK collects on the device]
Your Apple or Google account, not Pottly, holds your payment details. Pottly never sees them.
Notifications
Reminders and alarms are scheduled on your phone. The app does not use a push server, so it does not need a device push token to send them. You can turn reminders off in Settings, or turn notifications off for Pottly in your phone’s settings.
Backups
Settings → Backup → Export backup creates one JSON file with your children, trips and stickers, and opens the share sheet. You choose where it goes, such as iCloud Drive, Files or Google Drive. Pottly does not receive a copy. The file is not encrypted by Pottly, and it contains your child’s name and trip history, so keep it somewhere safe.
Deleting data
- Remove one child profile in Settings. Its history leaves the app, but it stays in any backup file you exported earlier.
- Settings → Reset app clears every child, trip and setting on this phone.
- Deleting the app removes its data from the phone. [проверить: confirm the iOS widget's shared storage is removed on uninstall]
- Backup files you saved are yours. Delete them from wherever you kept them.
