Privacy Policy

Your recipes, your weekly plan, your shopping list, your preferences (units, theme, language) and the counters for your monthly import allowance are stored locally on your phone in the app's own storage.

Deleting the app removes this local data [проверить: confirm on a real iPhone and Android device].

There is no cloud copy of your library. Saucepil does not sync recipes between your devices in the first release.

Saucepil creates a random device identifier and stores it in the device's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). It is not linked to your name, email or Apple or Google account. We use it only to count your monthly imports and photo scans. It can survive a reinstall on iOS [проверить: reinstall behaviour on iOS and Android].

Purchases use RevenueCat, which assigns an anonymous app user identifier so your subscription status can be checked. RevenueCat's privacy policy applies to that service [проверить: link to RevenueCat policy].

Importing from a link can use our AI service to read the recipe. Before sending anything, the app checks your allowance, so a blocked attempt sends nothing.

For a link, the app sends the public title and text of the page or post, any caption you paste in, the source link and your app language. Pages that already carry structured recipe data are read on your device without the AI service.

For a photo, the app sends one photo, resized to a 1024-pixel long side and re-encoded as JPEG. The re-encode removes location metadata. You see a short notice before your first photo scan.

The AI service is operated by us and uses an AI model provider [проверить: provider name, data location, and whether the provider may retain or train on inputs]. To import a link, the app fetches the public page directly from your phone. For TikTok and YouTube it also requests the public oEmbed title from those services. Those sites see your IP address and the request, as they would for any browser visit. We do not receive that traffic.

Reminders, such as a dinner plan, are scheduled on your device. Saucepil does not use a push server and does not send you marketing messages.

Subscriptions are billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment card details. We receive your subscription status through RevenueCat.

We do not sell personal information. We do not show ads. We do not use advertising identifiers. We do not run an analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the app [проверить: confirm the final release build has no crash reporter].

Saucepil is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you think a child has sent us data.

Most data is on your phone, so you control it there: delete a recipe, clear your plan, or uninstall the app. For anything we hold (an AI request you asked for, or a support email), write to us and we will help. Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to processing.

We will update this page when the app changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will also be noted in the app.
