We make small apps that do one thing — brilliantly.
Pocketleaf is a tiny, independent studio building focused, private, offline-first apps. No accounts, no data hoarding — just beautifully made tools that respect your time and your phone.
Somewhere along the way, apps forgot to be simple.
The phone in your pocket is astonishing. Yet so much of what runs on it is bloated — stuffed with features you didn't ask for, an account you didn't want, and a quiet appetite for your data.
We think a tool should feel like a good pen: obvious, reliable, and yours. So we build the opposite of the everything-app — small, sharp apps that do a single job and then get out of your way. Nothing to log into, nothing shipped to a server, nothing to explain to a friend.
Small isn't a limitation. It's the whole point.
Six things we won't compromise on.
- 01
One thing, done brilliantly
Every app has a single job. No feature creep, no dashboards you'll never open — just one thing, sweated over until it feels effortless.
- 02
Private by design
For most of our apps your data never leaves your phone. There's no server holding your habits, health notes or money.
- 03
Offline-first
The best tools work on a plane, in a basement, on airplane mode. Ours are built to run without a connection.
- 04
No accounts
No sign-up wall, no password, no email harvested before you've even tried the thing. Open it and it just works.
- 05
Design-led
Calm colour, real typography, motion that means something. An app you use every day should be a small pleasure.
- 06
Fair, simple pricing
Honest prices — often a one-time purchase, always a free way to start. No dark patterns, no bait-and-switch.
A studio of many small apps.
Instead of pouring years into one giant product, we make a family of small ones — each fully-formed, each polished as if it were our only app. When you're focused, you move fast and cut nothing that matters.
One idea, one job, done properly. Then we do it again. It's an app factory, but a careful one — the assembly line only ever ships things we'd want on our own home screen.
Ten apps and counting — each one its own small world.
Everything we're building.
Across productivity, health, finance, travel and everyday utilities. Tap any one to see what it does.
Your data has a home. It's your phone.
Most Pocketleaf apps keep everything on-device: your habits, your health notes, your numbers never touch our servers, because we don't have a server waiting for them.
A few apps have AI or connected-account features. When they do, we're plain about it: only the text you choose to process is sent, over an encrypted connection, never used to train models, and never kept longer than it takes to give you a result.
No account. No cloud, where we can help it. No tracking you around the web.
“We're a small, independent studio — no growth team, no venture round, no roadmap dictated by investors. Just people who like making good software.”
Pocketleaf is early. Our first apps are still on the way to the App Store, so you won't find inflated download counts or borrowed press logos here — we'd rather earn your trust than manufacture it. What we can promise is the thing above: small, private, carefully-made apps, and a real person on the other end of the support email.
Questions, ideas, or a bug to squash?
We read everything. Whether it's feedback on an app, a feature you're missing, or just to say hello — the door's open.
